Your next project deserves a strong foundation.
It all starts here. The term “Preconstruction” encompasses everything we do to get projects in the door and to the build stage. In addition, it includes on-going support to our operations group, as needed, during construction. It is the “get work” side of our business and often the first contact we have in forming, developing and building customer relationships.
We are most often engaged with developers, architects, engineers and general contractors during the early conception of a project to assist with mechanical system selection, conceptual budgeting, and engineering services. Major components of our process include:
- Customer account development and management
- Sales and estimating
- Conceptual budgeting
- In-house engineering services
At Design Mechanical, our preconstruction managers are well versed in all aspects of what we do. They are the front line in customer contact and regularly prepare and manage budgets for all types of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems in all types of buildings. They work through the various options with the customer that make the most sense for a project and guide the design team and developers to solutions that maximize value for their budget. They are well schooled in the latest technologies of our industry as well as the various associated building codes and standards.
Our in-house engineers are licensed professional engineers in multiple states and provide design services and technical assistance for our internal construction purposes. Our team is extremely well versed in the functional aspects of our systems, they’re in the trenches with our installers as needed for troubleshooting, technical assistance, startup assistance, or commissioning.
